Wedding Bells

On 7th May 2010 I was lucky enough to fulfil one of the few dreams I have had my whole life. This one didn’t change as I got older like my dream of becoming a lawyer or marrying a Backstreet Boy. I can happily/proudly/boastfully say that this was the day I married my best friend. The one person who I love in each and every single way known to mankind, Daniel.

The day was incredible. We shared it with about 130 of our closest friends and family (yes we have big families). The ceremony was my absolute favourite part. I can still remember every single emotion I felt walking down that isle. Some of them I don’t even know what were or if I could even explain them if I tried. All I know is that I literally thought my heart was going to explode. I slowly cried my way up the isle and then kissed my dad thank you for teaching me by example what he did so that I could find someone like Daniel and be experiencing that moment. Then 15 minutes (maybe 20) later I was very happily married. Our reception was an absolute party. Lots of dancing, laughing and celebrating.

It was so special and I could never have imagined it to be as good as it was. However, I still remember the not so pleasant parts like having a million bobby pins in my hair all day (ouch!) or trying to pee in a wedding dress (impossible!) and that weird numb feeling your face gets from smiling all day. Looking back, as unpleasant as they were they made the day even more perfect.

Here are a few sneak peaks into the happiest day of my life.
