When Its Cold Out

This weekend was a pretty quiet one and it was COLD. So my sister and I in our boredom decided it was the perfect time for a makeover. We gave her a mini makeover. If only we had thousands of dollars to make over a wardrobe to match...one day! Isn't she haaawwwtt. My baby sister is all grown up!

I AM ALIVE

Last weekend we went to Tamworth. We have an annual family tradition of staying at a place called Burrabaroo. The whole family stays there – grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It is so much fun all staying in the same place, sharing rooms, eating together and everything else!
This year Daniel couldn’t come which actually made me pretty upset. I love that Daniel is part of our family now and it makes me sad when he misses out on things. However, I pushed back the tears and went without him. Squished in the back of mum and dad’s convertible like a third wheel.
Burrabaroo is about 10 minutes out of Tamworth and is just acres and acres of land and bush. There is no phone or internet service, which when your hubby is with you is good but otherwise, not so good.
We spent the weekend playing cards, sports, the boys making potato guns and letting off fireworks. But most of all there was just lots of laying around in bunches on the floor and chatting. It’s the best part. I am so lucky to have such a big extended family and even luckier to be so close to them all. I love my family. Especially the ones that weren’t there.

I love this little dude.

How cute is he? He has had a ruff week. So have I, hence the quietness. I am going to Tamworth tomorrow for a weekend with the family, minus hubby. Not at all happy about the hubby part but excited to spend time with my family.

I am so happy that I found someone who I love so much that the thought of spending two nights without them is just devastating! There is a good chance I will cry when we say goodbye, embarrassing. But I love him and he has to bring in the money so say goodbye is exactly what I will do.

Even though this is a short week (I am only working three days) it has really seemed to drag. I am looking forward to the next few weeks going by quite quickly. It is our two year anniversary in three weeks. I am really excited. I love anniversaries. This year I have organised a farm stay for the weekend for Daniel and I. I can not wait. I decided to start the tradition of buying each other a gift based on the traditional anniversary year. For two years it is cotton so that is pretty easy. If you have any super sneaky ideas let me know!

I finally purchased a book on how to use my camera and it arrived yesterday so get ready for some super professional photographs!

I probably won't be checking in again until I get back but I am sure I will have a lot to report on.

Happy weekend xxxx

Happy Easter!

I am writing this from my chocolate coma. Mmmm Easter. This year we headed up the coast with my in-laws to enjoy the sunshine and beachside for four sweet days. We had a great weekend with lots of food, cards and laying in the sun, (Except Daniel who surfed every second he could).

We came home last night to find Tupac had somehow picked up some fleas! Disgusting. This resulted in a total house cleaning overload session in case any of those creepy critters tried to move in. Of course Tupac was also given a super quick and serious de-fleaing session! Poor thing.

Today we visited my family and celebrated my brothers 24th birthday. They are working on the backyard which meant I got a ride on the bob cat. Lots of fun.

Hope you all had a fantastic Easter and are enjoying your chocolate comas as much as I am.

Weekend.

Another weekend gone, so quick! To keep with the quickness here is a quick recap and the weekend according to my Iphone.

-          Daylight Savings ended. This means summer really is over and there are more dark hours then there is light hours.
-          My girlfriends Hawaiian themed birthday party, so much fun!
-          Daniel passed his motor bike license. The search for a bike begins, cross your fingers he is into cheap bikes.
-          Early Easter dinner with our best friends and their gorgeous daughter (our goddaughter). I love seeing how excited she gets when you give her a new Dora anything…!
-          Lots of red things – nail polish, red velvet cupcakes and my first strawberry of the season. Yum! And my search continues for the perfect pair of red pants/jeans.
-          April Fools Day, finally almost having success with glad wrap over the toilet bowl trick! Almost, one year this will work.

Daniel has somehow managed to talk me into trying a boot camp tonight. For the record, I am the girl that always came last in sport where I could made excuses not to participate to save myself the embarrassment. Due to this I am the most unfit un energetic person of everyone I know. So the fact that I am trying this is HUGE. I am really nervous and already feeling embarrassed. Luckily Daniel is being a supportive husband and doing it with me.  Wish me luck!!

I also want to remind everyone that it is EASTER this weekend, in case you had some type of mental blank. I love Easter. Chocolate, yummy food, public holidays – what’s not to love?

Before I think about that though I am off to cry in the bathroom at the thought of having to do boot camp…. Ah!
